Peace Missionary Baptist Church is currently seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our congregation and provide spiritual counseling. In this role, you will draft and deliver sermons, oversee prayer groups, and develop programs that exemplify and encourage faith in our religious ideals. You will also plan community activities and assist with outreach efforts. Since you will be a public representative of our faith and doctrine, you must have a deep understanding and passion for the beliefs of our church. Our ideal applicant will obtain their MDiv from a seminary and gain experience as an assistant or associate pastor, although the only strict requirement is to be Baptist church ordained and licensed.

Provide spiritual guidance to congregants
Serve as a church leader, positively and consistently representing our faith
Draft and deliver sermons
Assist with community outreach
Oversee prayer or bible groups
Develop programs to encourage spiritual growth
Plan religious activities and events
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications / Experience:
● Must currently hold/have held an Associate/Assistant Pastor/Minister position
● Must have sound knowledge of Baptist Doctrine and Articles of Faith
● Must be a Servant Leader who is licensed and ordained in the Baptist Church
● Questions will be asked during interview process
Education:
● Must have Theological training (provide details of training)
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in theology or divinity (preferred)
Ministry:
● Must be active in the Local Church or State National Conventions
● Must have the ability to establish an excellent rapport with all levels of the congregation especially the
youth and young adults
● Must have proven community service in the areas in which one currently serves
Requirements:
● Must be willing to submit to background check for criminal history
● Must be willing to submit to background check for community where residing
● Must be willing to submit to background check for church currently attending
References:
● Must provide three Pastoral/Ministerial references
